Mr. Bernhard

I wanted to take this time to thank you for attending our last Girl Scout meeting. Your lecture on proper care and treatment of animals was excellent. The girls learned a great deal about how to care for their pets and how to approach strange animals. I was very impressed in the way you were able to answer all of the girls questions (and there were many). I enjoyed seeing how well behaved Sam your German Shepherd was during the lecture.

The girls and I, again, thank you for your time as well as Sam's.

Sincerely,
Maria Gross

Mr. Bernhard

The beginning of summer I came to you with my Shih Tzu, Maggie. She had a fear of thunder. Your instructions have helped her tremendously. She still is squeamish (we are still working on her fear) but at least she doesn't cause herself bodily harm. She also listens much better when I give her a command.

I given your card to Dr. Donovan in Alburtis, with my high recommendations of your services. When ever I hear someone talk about a pet problem I give them your name.

This thank you note is long overdue, but it definitely isn't short on my gratitude.

Sincerely,
Linda Lauer

Dear Dick,

Thank you for the assistance you offered me last week when I contacted you regarding Nastar's recently escalated aggressive behavior. Your recommended method immediately eliminated his aggressive behavior towards me. However, he nipped a small child on the face two days later. Following this incident, I scheduled a complete medical exam for Nastar to rule out the possibility of health-related problems since he had turned his aggressiveness toward a person other than myself. No illness was uncovered.

Based on the information you provided me regarding screening potential trainers, I will now begin the process of locating a behavioral trainer for Nastar.

Again, I thank you for taking the time to speak with me. I doubt that we will find another trainer as dedicated and concerned as you have been.

Sincerely,

Diane Lapointe

Dick Bernhard,

I am writing this not to thank you so much for your help in giving "Emily" such a great start in her life as a precious member of our family. I hope you will accept an enjoy the gift as a token of my gratitude for all of your excellent training of me and Emily. It has been handcrafted with the same kind of quality you put into your work with me and Emily. I know you gave us a lots of extra attention and I really appreciate everything you have done.

We all learned in the family, (through my lectures which I carried home from you!), that it is wonderful that we love her so much but that we must give her the leadership she needs to be good and to feel secure as a member of our "pack".

Best Regards,

Marilyn

Dear Mr. Bernhard

It was perfectly wonderful of you to come down here and help with Gus, and I want to thank you so very much.

Today, Gus behaved the way he does when you handle him, with the leash staying loose in my hand... a most refreshing experience for me.

Gus wants to send you best wishes with me for a beautiful summer.

Sincerely,

Genne

Dear Mr. Bernhard

Thank you for your time on teaching me how to walk up and down the steps.

I was very scared and you made my fear disappear. My new parents thank you also, they are very proud of me.

Thank you very much for all your help!

Pooches gracias, Thanks for all your help and concern! Fran and Angus

Dear Richard,

Thank you for the most enlightening educational experiences I've ever had! You've really taught me some very important concepts that not only help me be a better friend to Callaway, but a happier stronger person!

I can honestly say I've learned more in these past few months than I probably ever would have I I hadn't had the pleasure of being your student.

Sincerely,

Maria Kammetle

Dear Dick,

I just wanted to thank you for our help and your compassion in dealing with Tommy. He was a great dog who will always hold a special place in my heart. You helped me come to terms with this troubled situation, and after meeting you I knew I was in good hands. I have a great deal of respect for you, mainly because you are aware of a big problem and injustice to these wonderful animals, and instead of just moaning and groaning about it, you are doing something to help correct the problem and to educate people, so they too become aware. I truly am of the belief that when someone special crosses your path in life you should let them know that you think they are just that special, as I think you are.

Well, I didn't want to get too melodramatic, but I guess that's my style!

Anyway, if I could be of any help in any way in you campaign to help these animals, I would be happy to volunteer my time. If you need help with typing papers, or extra hands in your classes, please let me know. I would love to get involved. I hope to see you again someday, and once again, Thank you!

Sincerely,

Margaret Szempruck

Dear Mr. Bernhard,

We can't thank you enough for all your help in teaching us how to work with Rags. After our 1st session with you, you told me he would be the best dog we would ever have. How right you were!

He is a terrific companion, friend, and pet. We practice our obedience lessons everyday. His seeing eye training still comes out every once in a while, he gently guides me around branches or won't let me walk over sewer grates. We even taught him to wave bye-bye and "gimme five".

We couldn't have learned to live with him without your teaching and guidance.

Thanks once again and best wishes,

Carol, Ed, and Adrienne

Dear Dick,

This is just a heartfelt note of thanks from Bo, Jim and myself. You have been of invaluable assistance in helping us cope with what we thought was an impossible situation. Now we know how smart and capable Bo is and we expect to develop his full potential.

Again, thanks so much for literally saving our dog's life.

Jan, Jim and Bo Buss

Dear Mr. Bernhard,

I am writing to tell you how well things are going with my dog Bud (130 pound Saint Bernard) and I since we saw you for training about one year ago.

Bud is an absolute joy. He has finally adjusted to his new home with me and I truly believe he is happy now.

I'm pleased to tell you that Bud and I are getting along famously. He is obedient, and an excellent companion. Everyone that comes in contact with him comments on how well behaved he is --- imagine!

I would like to thank you for all you have taught me. I use my new knowledge every day, and both Bud and I have benefited tremendously.

I also need to thank you for making yourself available to me when I had questions and concerns about Bud. Your patience and commitment to seeing us through will never be forgotten.

Sincerely,

Melinda J. Beaky

Dear Dick,

I just wanted to drop you a line to thank you once again for all of your time and your help. From the moment that I left your place, Dioge has been a much better puppy because I now know what to do.

I can't tell you how much I needed some good, sound advice.

Sincerely,

Fran

Dear Mr. Bernhard

It's been quite some time since our last meeting and I wanted to let you know that my dogs are doing great!

Kipper, Hunter and Rosie

Certainly not in a state of perfection, but we really enjoy each other and continue to "backwash" and work out any troubles - THANK YOU for giving me the confidence to own 3 wonderful dogs!

Hi Uncle Dick,

I just celebrated my first birthday on June 15th. Can you believe I'm one year old already?

I've been a great puppy, and enjoy my daily walks. People really love me because I am so well behaved.

Thank you for your guidance when I was a pup!

Hello, Richard:

I'm very sorry that I had to cancel our class tonight on such short notice. In fact, Max's training is going quite well and I would like to stop classes, at least for the time being, and master those skills you have already presented to me.

I have enclosed a check for tonight, particulary because of the last minute cancellation. Ed and I did watch the tape and it served as reinforcement to what we now understand and try to practice.

Thank you for all you have taught me! I will certainly recommend you to anyone I think could benefit from your expertise.

Best Wishes,

Ursla

Dear Mr. Berhard:

I wanted to write a note to thank you for all of the assistance you have given our family on choosing a new puppy and how to go about evaluating breeders. We have finally made a choice to go with Honor Golden Retreiver which happens to be the web site you directed us to when we were at your facility. We spent a few weeks searching for a closer facility but found that an Honor Golden is truly the way to go. The breeder has over 40 years of breeding experience, believes in natural foods and holistic treatments and in addition to this the training information they sent regarding the puppy mirrors much of what we have learned from you!

I don't know how often people write to say thanks but a BIG THANKS to you for your help. We should be getting the puppy sometime in July hopefully (they aren't born yet) so sometime later in the year I am sure we will make an appointment for training. I have found it much easier to stay focused while working with you rather than on my own.

Talk to you soon and THANKS again!

Lori

Dear Mr. Bernhard

Just a quick note to let you know we are finally getting our new puppy. We looked around and finally decided on an Honor Golden Retriever. NO one in Jersey or Pennsylvania has such good quality dogs. We are going to get him on monday. Once we have some pictures we will get some to you. Please let anyone that you are recommending a golden to know that an Honor golden is truly a treasure. The whole experience has been wonderful. Hope all is well with you and I am sure that somewhere in the future you will get to meet the newest addition to our family.

Dear Mr. Bernhard:

We got our little Honor Golden and let me tell you he is even more wonderful than we thought he ever could be!!!! I wanted to thank you again for your direction and assistance.

He is 8 weeks old and just a little guy now but I would like to begin formal training at whatever point you feel would be appropriate. I realize he needs exposure to all sorts of things right now so that is what we are working on....socialization. Ann at Honor Golden recommends that we begin his formal training at 12 weeks. I defer to your judgement on that issue. Please let me know. We would like to involve Lex in some type of therapy work also because I really think he will make a great therapy dog.

Talk to you soon.

Thank you so much.

This is just a little note to let you know how great Libby is doing. She truly is a happier dog since completing training with you. Darren and I thank you again for helping us to help her and ourselves. I can't even tell you what a difference the training with you has made! I've enclosed a picture of Libby for you. Thanks again!

With deepest gratitude,

August 2, 1999

Dear Richard and all the folks at TCFFT&E:Greetings!

I hope you are keeping cool in the heat wave! Georgia, months after the conclusion of our training, is a real gem. When we sit down to eat at the dinner table, Georgia takes her cue, goes to her "toy" box, pulls out her favorite bone to gnaw on, and settles down for a good chew. She never begs for food or barks for attention.

Georgia helped catch a loose dog named "Angel" last week who found herself in our back yard as she was avoiding recapture by her young owners. Angel, the loose dog, had a "choke" collar on with no lead attached! We set Georgia loose to "play" with Angel, who was happy to be playing with Georgia. Angel was evasive and completely non-responsive to her owners. Georgia, on the other hand, responded promptly to our commands, bringing the elusive Angel closer to us each time we recalled her, increasing our chances of grabbing Angel.

After our best efforts at lunging for Angel failed, we decided it would be best if Georgia helped to "exhaust" Angel by running around the yard for a few minutes! We were actually somewhat able to control Angel by controlling Georgia with commands and her electronic collar (which was turned on but which we rarely needed). Finally, Angel got close enough to one of her owners that she was caught. Georgia was so wiped-out that she just lay down, panting. We tied some spare clothesline onto the active ring of the choke collar, made a loop for a handle, and instructed the girls how to hold the lead. We were certain they were thinking of new names for Angel as they led her home.

Give our best to Shondo & Navigator!

Hello Richard,

Denny and I would like to thank you once again for teaching us to train Kaiser correctly. We've seen such a big change in his behavior and it's a pleasure to take him places now. Before coming to you we were at a loss as to how to manage such a large, strong willed dog. After our first session, we knew we found the right place. Kaiser thanks you too....he's a happier pet now. He doesn't even get excited with other dogs around anymore but sits very well behaved. He doesn't overwhelm our visitors either. We feel confident now that we can take him anywhere and still have him under our control.

Keep up the good work!!!

September 4, 1999

Hello again Richard,

We'll be on our way home tomorrow. We wanted to let you know that we took Kaiser to a BBQ today with about 100 people and 3 dogs (off leash). We heard many comments about his size and appearance and also his behavior. One couple in particular, who have a female shepherd, commented how well mannered he was. He played with 2 of the dogs (both females), and we all had a good time.

We hope to be home this time tomorrow.

Enjoy your holiday.

Kaiser, Janice and Denny

Hello Richard,

As you know yesterday was our last formal lesson with Clancy (8-15-99) and we just wanted to take a moment to say thank you for the education that Clancy, Carol and myself received in your Companion Dog Training program.

Prior to our electronic collar education, Clancy's incredible bird dog instincts made it completely impossible to let him off lead in the yard or to hike with me in the fields and woods without running away, getting into danger or getting lost.

Now this 14 month old bucket of RAW ENERGY is still full of energy and an absolute joy to be with.

The language and communication we now have is wonderful and allows us to have so much fun in or out of the house, with guests, other dogs, in the woods and the fields.

Clancy is now able to safely hunt and roam in the fields off lead. It's a beautiful sight to watch him at work doing what he was bred to do. Clancy is now free and very ,very, very happy............and so am I.

Thank you again

Sincerely,

Clancy, Carol, and Mark

Dick,

Thank you so much for the time you spent with me in training Hunter. Hunter is our first dog and we were not as prepared as originally thought when we decided to purchase a family pet.

As the months passed, we were becoming frustrated with Hunter's inability to respond to our commands. It was at this time we decided to seek a professional trainer to help us. I was a bit skeptical at first, but, decided if we could accomplish what you stated on your website, I would consider it well worth my time and money.

Well, after spending several weeks of on-leash training, and another four with the remote collar, I am VERY pleased with the results.

For anyone who is considering training for their dog, I highly recommend your methods.

As for the remote training... It is great! Although the same results can be achieved from the conventional "line-work", the remote training establishes an immediate result in far less time. It is a very humane way of training the dog. The dog distinguishes right from wrong within minutes with no affect on the dog.

One final note. Anyone who is contemplating training their dog should remember the most important part of training... and that is the time they spend with the dog. An hour and an half session a week with you is not an immediate cure. The lesson must be followed up with regular training per your instruction at home, in the yard or park, etc. This is the only way the dog will truly become the pet the owner had originally envisioned when they decided to add a member to the family.

I can't wait to start field training Hunter.

Rich

Hello Dick, remember us??? I just wanted to send you a note to let you know that we have a beautiful new baby son born on December 31, 1999.

Dakota is wonderful with him! She lays by his crib and whenever he fusses or cries she rushes to get me. She is such a great dog and loves her new baby brother, so again, thank you for the great training! I hope that you are having a healthy and prosperous New Year

take good care!

Dear Dick,

We would like to thank you for everything you have done for Bailey, us and the rest of our family. You have been there for us every time we've had a problem and you have always gone well out of your way to help us during some difficult times. Thank you for taking time out of your schedule and on a Sunday no less to come to our home and work with Bailey. The world really needs more people who care so much for animals as you do.

I believe Bailey and I are very lucky to have you for our trainer. If we would have been in the hands of any other so called trainer, Bailey may not be here today. If for nothing else_ Thank You for keeping Bailey a part of our family.

Your time and commitment to our needs has been greatly appreciated.

Again we would like to thank you for everything you have done for our family.

You might think that what you did was a little thing because you do so much for others all the time, but it is rare to find people as considerate and thoughtful as you.

Thank You,

Kelly and Jim

Dear Richard,

We wanted to express our thanks and appreciation for all you have taught Jessie, and most importantly what you have taught us. We always knew our 1 year old Border Collie was very smart, but we didn't have the appropriate knowledge to challenge her the way she needed to be a better companion. After she was hit by a car, (unfortunately it took that extreme) we knew it was up to us to take responsibility and do whatever we needed to, to understand her thought process and devote more "working" time with her.

After our first session, we were so excited to start applying the commands and techniques that we had learned. People truly need to realize how important it is to actually work with your dog throughout the week before each new class. If you think your dog will be trained on it's own in 1 1/2 hours a week while not training them consistently on your own, you're going to have a big problem.

One of our main goals from the beginning, was to be able to play frisbee and take Jessie hiking with us without a leash. When we told Richard, he said "no problem". Even though we thought he was nuts (haha), we were hopeful. With Jessie's strong will and tendency to get spooked, we took Dick's advice (which has never failed us) and purchased an electronic training collar. For people that may think this is a "cruel" way of training, I believe it's more cruel to put your pet's safety or life in jeopardy when your not 100% sure they will come to you, when called out of harm's way. We make sure to always use the collar when we are doing fun things such as going down to the river or playing frisbee. She actually goes over to her collar when she knows we are getting ready to go in the car.

Now that Jessie knows her place in our home and what is expected of her, she is calmer, happier, and much more affectionate to both of us. We love her with all our heart, and will never forget the training we have all experienced!

Sincerely,

Christina and Rob

Dick: I hope all is going well. I thought I would give you a quick update on how Bear is doing since we finished up our training.

Bear is continuing to do very well. He is very responsive to the commands you helped me learn. Bear has learned to respond to the following commands using the e collar: PLACE - COME - SIT - DOWN - DROP

I rarely use the collar (although it is "on" him throughout the day). Once in a while I will use it for a reminder.

The training you provided was worth the time and effort. Bear is also responsive to my wife and kids. He listens to their commands with almost as much authority as if I was giving him the command.

Many friends and strangers have commented that Bear is a very well behaved dog.

Thanks for all your help! You taught me a lot and gave me a good foundation in which to add to Bear's training commands.

Please feel free to use me as a reference.

Dear Dick Bernhard:

I wanted to take the time to sincerely thank you for your help in training both my dog and myself.

Over the years I have read various books on "training dogs" and have been to three different "group trainers" with several dogs. When the 8-week group class was finished, my dog's behaviors were only marginally improved.

After my first class with you, I noticed more improvement in my dog than after 8 weeks with the group. As our training progressed, my dog's behavior progressed as well; just like it should. You were always able to answer any questions I had and would always respond when I needed your help at home.

You have never ceased to amaze me. While on vacation this year, we encountered a behavior problem (not a training problem) with our dog that we had never come across before, and of course I turned to you. You demonstrated your sincere care for your clients by returning my call and taking the time to help us, even though we were finished with our classes.

I remember you told me that once I had a truly trained companion dog, I would never settle for less, and you were absolutely right. I can take my dog with me wherever I go and feel confident with the control I have with him: what a great feeling!

I have sent letters of recommendation to the local kennels in my area, and HIGHLY recommend your services to who ever wants a TRAINED DOG. It was definitely worth the two-hour round-trip commute to work with you. The e-collar has been remarkable; my wife can't get over our dog's improvements.

Thank you again,

Steve, Lydia, & Axle Fretz

Hi Dick,

Everyone who saw the dog when we first got him are completely amazed at his turnaround. He even sat in Santa's lap. Santa even brought him a stocking of which Kim is teasing him with a rawhide candy cane. Thank you for all your help and guidance so that a good dog has a good home !

Hello, our friend!!

Long time, no speak. All is well here and hope the same with you. Believe it or not, it's only (7) weeks till "baby time'.

Harley has actually started to put his head near my belly and listen intently. We can't help but think that this is a good sign.

Also wanted to let you know that Harley caught a full-grown groundhog by the neck a couple of weeks ago....he dropped it on Brett's command and is still alive to warn all his friends about the crazy black dog in our yard. Pretty impressive, right??? Our "well-behaved companion animal in the making" is eternally grateful to his "Uncle Richard."

With Love,

Your Friends,

P.S. Forgot to mention that he has all but mastered "place" -- even when the doorbell rings and guests enter the house.

Thank You....Thank You...Thank You...

Dear Richard:

We were so sorry to hear about Navigator. So true that the only difficult thing our pets ask of us their whole life is to say good-bye. Allowing them to go out of this life with dignity is truly what we owe them for all they give us.

On a happier note, we wanted to share a few photos of Olivia with you. As soon as we have a moment to take some nice shots of the dogs and Olivia, we will send them to you. Brett's parents have been watching Olivia for us and they have a digital camera. Unfortunately, Harley is not at their house to be in the photos!!

Dick,

Just came back from the Plainfield Recreation Path. Cosmo loves it there.....He took a swim in the creek and I worked with him off leash in a very secluded area of the path. He was great. He will not go more than twenty or thirty feet from me. He will come when called instantly, sit and wait to be put back on the leash.

Thanks again Dick, you really did a great job with Cosmo. I now he enjoys being "good boy" rather than the way he was when we first came to you. He now plays and roams in his yard and will "not" go in the flower beds anymore. Even when he is after a ball. If the ball goes in the flower bed, he stops short and waits for me to get it for him. Thanks again from all of us, Noreen, Dwayne and (of course) Cosmo.

Dear Dick,

This note is a longtime coming. Rick and I wanted to thank you so much for the consultation that you gave us for Rascal, the yellow lab we rescued because he had bit the son of the original owner. We took to heart what you told us and worked with him everyday. He has turned out to be a wonderful dog! We are in love with him. As you said, it took him 6 months to really adjust to all of us. We're now in our 9th month and have seen no signs of aggression at all. He gets along great with our other two dogs and enjoys the children that have visited (we always watch closely and so far we've seen nothing to alarm us). He gets a minimum of an hour run in the farm fields a day and has gone from his original weight of 130 lbs. down to 112 lbs. _ not bad!

You really helped me feel less anxious about our decision to keep him. He has been a real gift to us. Thank you for what you do and the passion you have for helping owners be good trainers of their dogs.

Warmely,

Candance

July 25, 2005

Dear Richard,

Hope all is well and you are enjoying your summer.  I just wanted to give you an update on Lola, She is turning out to be my perfect princess, though she still has her moments of mischief. The digging has stopped completely (I now have beautiful flowers in my yard), she still gets excited when she sees Maryann, but quickly settles down. She no longer sleeps in her crate at night, she now has a pillow in our bedroom, and stays there all night. The only time she goes in the crate is when we are gone for an extended period of time.

I have given your name to one of my neighbors who has 2 small dogs. I couldn't stop telling her how you were my last resort with Lola. If I never said it "THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART". Once I get updated pictures I will forward some along so you can see her progress.

Sincerely

Nilsa

August 25, 2005

I have been meaning to contact you and let you know of Shelby's progress. Shelby has been doing very well and I have been taking her to the kids band practice at night to help her to get use to people more (the other students love her and are very understanding of the training that I am doing) and walking her on the road to get her use to cars and traffic, where the side road isn't really busy and there is a large area of grass on both sides to walk her and control her without danger. She has also been off leash at home all summer, though when she sees a bunny, well we are still working on controlling those urges. All in all it has been a great summer, very enjoyable and relaxing with her. Throughout the summer as more people have come over, they are amazed as to how well she listens. The e-collar is great, though we seldom have to use it; it gives us peace of mind knowing that the security is there if needed.

I just wanted to thank you again for helping us achieve the behavior in Shelby we wanted and become the enjoyable addition to our family.

Dear Dick,

Thank you so much for your help with our little hellion, Riley. When he first came to us, I had serious reservations about keeping him. Although he could be very loving and attentive, he was somewhat destructive and disruptive.

Our beloved older Golden Retriever, Toby, had to put up with a constant taunting from him, and Riley could not seem to grasp that he could not chew good shoes, carpeting, walls, floors, etc.!!!! I was patient, but I could see that my husband (who is a true dog lover), was afraid that Riley would slowly destroy our home, and that he may be untrainable in the sense that he would not listen to any one.

When you evaluated Riley, you noted that he was indeed not only trainable, but actually very intelligent and quick to grasp commands. You demonstrated that he was submissive, even though he possessed a strong streak of independence and playfulness.

As we progressed through the training sessions, we learned to temper Riley's spirited nature with his loving disposition, as you showed us how to maintain control and always have the upper hand. Riley, in turn, became more secure with us, and that led to a decrease in attention-seeking behavior.

All in all, we are very happy with your training, and are impressed with your knowledge of animal behavior. We trust your observations about canine behavior and we follow your guide-lines for raising a loving and obedient household pet and companion.

Thank you so much for all you have done, and for eliminating all doubts about Riley's future in our home.

Hello Dick,

I wanted to take time to give you a great big "Thank You" from Kathi and I. We are very grateful for you taking the time to help us become better dog companions. After meeting with you, we realized that dog training is not just about training the dog, but also the two of us being trained.

With your guidance and our dedication, Chance has a come a long way since we first adopted him. We will continue our work and look forward to a long life of love and happiness with Chance as part of our family. Once again, Thank you so much from our hearts. We wish you, Shondo, and every family you have made better with your training the best of wishes.

Sage Does It Again!

May 1st, 2010

Today she earned her canine good citizenship! Way to go sage! Also her first match show in novice b she scored 191 . I never would have imagined a few years ago that this could or would be possible . Thanks for guiding us to the light at the end of the tunnel . It just goes to show what patience and hard work you can achieve the unbelievable. Any thing worth having is certainly worth working for. It is a cherished sweet success when you have to work extra hard to get there! T hanks for giving us the foundation to soar high in the sky and slowly attain our dreams!

Hello Mr. Bernhard,

Just a little update on "life with Sage". We continue to train her for more obedience competitions and now are preparing for field events. Most recently we had her evaluated for her CCA ( certification of conformation assessment) no easy task for a gal like Sage. To have to put up with extensive evaluation by 3 judges. Not sages cup of tea! She did an outstanding job by tolerating the entire process. I thought you be entertained to know she got a perfect 10 by one of the judges in temperment. Sage and I have come a long way. I thank you for giving me the insight and direction I needed to trust myself and my life long companion Sage. I will keep you posted on our accomplishments.

Thanks

Alicia

Glad to hear the good news about Sage. Its people like you Alicia who can make all things possible. You have the discipline to stick to your goals and follow through with those issues which are important to you without becoming sidetracked with other less important issues.

Please do keep me posted. Its nice to hear the progress from one of my past students are making with all their hopes and dreams being fulfilled. May they all come true.

Dick Bernhard

My family and I have two mixed breed dogs that are one year old. They are great dogs with a lot of energy who often ran after deer while on walks and jumped over our four foot yard fence at home.

My husband wanted to try electronic collars but I was very reluctant. However, the excellent training with e-collars with Dick Bernard has completely changed my mind. Our dogs can now walk off leash in full control and we rarely use the e-collars except for environmental training purposes. The dog walks, which became stressful, are now completely enjoyable.

I wholeheartedly recommend Dick Bernhard and the e-collars. I do believe you need an experienced trainer like Dick if you are considering an e-collar for your dog or, the experience may turn out to be completely different.

You owe it to yourself and your dogs to hire a top rate trainer like Mr. Bernhard.
