training. This system starts by teaching the dog to
understand the basic commands you plan to use. Then,
utilizing the principle of escape training, the dog is
taught to turn off low-level electrical stimulation by
performing commands it already knows. Through repetition,
the dog becomes quick at performing commands, because it
learns that, not only can it turn off stimulation by
performing, but can beat stimulation altogether when it
performs quickly.

Lori
recently had surgery performed on her left wrist
and will need physical therapy over the next
several weeks. She will be unable to work at
training Gestapo during this time as per her
doctor's request until the end of June. Please,
lets all wish her a full and speedy
recovery.
In June
of 2001, Harley was posted on a website for an
animal shelter in Georgia that is a kill shelter,
As they have no true means of humane animal control
in the south, his picture was shown with an
expiration date next to it. The expiration date was
the unthinkable. A dedicated young woman that we
worked with at the time made arrangements to have
Harley and seven other puppies flown up from
Georgia on United Airlines. All seven other puppies
were placed. Many people half-heartedly claimed
they would give Harley a home only to back out at
the last minute.
I wanted
to take time to give you a great big "Thank You"
from Kathi and I. We are very grateful for you
taking the time to help us become better dog
companions. After meeting with you, we realized
that dog training is not just about training the
dog, but also the two of us being
trained.
With your
guidance and our dedication, Chance has a come a
long way since we first adopted him. We will
continue our work and look forward to a long life
of love and happiness with Chance as part of our
